After looking at comparison videos on YouTube I went with this one instead of a 250 Rode mic and I'm glad I did.I recorded several interviews with a boom stick on a stand out of the view of the camera. I used this Takstar connected to an H4N Pro (I have also connected to an H1N in different occasions), and I had a second H4N Pro recording straight from its mics also attached to the boom stick stand. I always put a lavalier mic on the person as a backup.The takstar sounded so great that I'm stuck trying to decided which one sounds better. This cheap shotgun mic or my H4N Pro. Both produced great audio. Ofcourse I clean it up a bit for both when I edit them but not much to do.I'm so glad I didnt spend more money on a mic that sounds almost the same.When I do upgrade it will be something top of the line. For now this works perfectly.
