I bought this despite being more expensive than other similar items as I thought this camera is self powered, or in other words does not require a separate power input. I needed it to set up as a CCTV on my front door and found out that I still need a separate power for it. No idea why is it twice as much as other similar products.So i connected a 12v Power adaptor to it and connected it to a small monitor and it worked. But the image in the product description was wrong, which also confused me. The Power and audio input are labelled as Video, while the audio input is labelled as video, which made me think it does not require a separate power input.The camera has a built in microphone which i thought was great as i can hear people's conversation if they are in front of my front door. But the microphone would only work if i stand within a distance of about 5cm from it, anything further than that and it would not pick up the voice.The image quality is very good though, and the LEDs works in the dark, though i cannot tell how clear the image is as i tested that in a closed box.Contacted the seller and no reply until I got Amazon involved and got my refund.All in all i will say it is not worth the price as you can get similar items for around £8.99 or less. 2 Star for the image quality, all the rest are useless.
